Mandy Champney

VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS, EAST REGION

Mandy Champney, RN, LNHA joined American Healthcare in February 2018 as the Vice President of Operations, East Region. Mandy started her career as an RN in the Emergency Department at Roanoke Memorial Hospital where she worked for sixteen years in various job roles including Manager. Following her life-long desire to work with the geriatric population, Mandy made the transition into the Long-Term, Post-Acute Care setting as a Director of Nursing of a 180-bed facility in Roanoke, Virginia. After five years in this role, she transitioned to Operations by becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Over the next seven years she had various opportunities, within the same company, to work as an administrator in multiple buildings including opening a new-construction, state of the art facility in North Carolina. Her primary interests are Clinical Operations, Quality Improvement, and team building.

A lifelong resident of Roanoke County, Mandy graduated from Radford University in 1993 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and, in 2003, completed her Master’s Degree in Business from Averett University. She and her husband Craig, a retired Roanoke City Firefighter, have been married for 24 years and are the parents of two adult children, Walker and Sloan. Mandy is active in her church, singing in the Praise Band, and her hobbies include genealogy and travel with family.
