“Each of our Heritage Hall facilities offers an array of services in order to provide the best quality care outcomes to our patients and residents. Whether you need short-term rehabilitation after an accident or long-term care, we will be right by your side during your time at Heritage Hall.” Ted LeNeave, President

Intermediate Care

Intermediate care is provided for our residents needing assistance with activities of daily living; including provision of food, shelter, laundry and personal care, but without significant nursing requirements or any acute/chronic medical problems.

Everyday Life
It is providing help and services designed for the individual's abilities that determine everyday life. Our care team, with the assistance and support of the family, develops the care plan, therapies, social activities and diet. Maintaining a schedule of activity and therapies encourage individuals to participate in the routine of daily living.

Residents dress for the day and come to the dining room for meals when possible. The numerous activities provide stimulation and socialization. Caring for the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of residents is our number one priority. Encouragement and support from family will help us meet these goals.

We will do everything possible to make the adjustment to new surroundings as easy as possible. Family photos, a favorite chair and other memorabilia will help the resident feel more at ease in their new home.

There are always questions and expectations in a health care setting and Heritage Hall wants to respond by furnishing as much information as possible. Our staff has all been trained to provide a safe, secure and caring environment.

Dining & Social
At Heritage Hall we try to provide individuals with as full a day as they desire, offering them numerous social events and dining experiences to look forward to. We've found that meals are a much-anticipated time at the center. They become an event, a topic of discussion, and a time to socialize. Since meals are the highlight of the day for many residents, we try to make them as enjoyable as possible.

Diet is an integral part of the attending physician's care of each resident, and it can significantly affect a resident's well being. Nutrition and meals are the daily responsibility of the Dietary Services. A registered dietitian plans nourishing and well-balanced meals, in accordance with the diet prescribed by the attending physician. Diet cards for each resident listing food preferences are referred to at each meal and substitutions are made for individual likes and dislikes.

The more information that can be furnished, the better we'll be able to make your loved one's dining experience a pleasurable one. Guests are welcome to dine with residents at either lunch or dinner and arrangements can be made at the business office.

We have found no greater common social ground than having a mutual interest, which is why so many residents participate in the wide range of creative and therapeutic activities we offer.

Each individual is unique and has different needs and interests. We try to vary our social events schedule from month to month to offer the resident some variety and selection. Arts and crafts, bingo, exercise classes, monthly birthday parties, theme meals, devotions and teas are just a few of the events planned for their enjoyment.

During holidays and special occasions, the staff and the residents combine talents to organize events and Heritage Hall is alive with raffles, cakewalks, and sales. In addition, the halls echo with music and decorations that match the spirit.

Heritage Hall also encourages the community to participate in residential life. Civic, church and student groups provide varied activities, including choirs, Christmas carolers, pet therapy, art shows and many others. We enjoy having local newspapers publish articles on celebrations and activities at the center as well as stories highlighting individual residents. Whenever outside groups and families join us, it is rewarding to our residents, staff and community members.

You also play a large role in social life at Heritage Hall. Residents enjoy visitors and personal interaction with their family and others. We have an active Resident Council which meets regularly with the Directors of Activities, Nursing, Food Services and Social Services to discuss issues within the center and to plan special events. Our volunteer program, a valuable asset to our residents and staff, provides an opportunity for you to become involved in daily life. The Activities Director works with the volunteers and local groups to provide programs.

Advice on special clothing needs, the laundry system, support groups within the community, adjustment difficulties, policies and procedures of Heritage Hall, ordering specialized equipment, and just general questions, complaints or suggestions all fall within the varied areas of concern where Social Services can be of assistance. If you have a question, the Social Worker will either find the answer, or put you in touch with the person who can.
